Ray Iles Knives

We listened to your extensive feedback on our spoon carving and whittling knives and redesigned them accordingly, paying particular attention to the size and shape of the handle. All our carving knives are made from 01 high carbon steel and hold an exceptionaly sharp edge. The handles are made from beech and treated with a raw linseed oil. The addition of further coats of linseed oil from time to time will improve both the look and durability of the wood. A right handed tool will cut towards you when held in the right hand and vice versa.
